The Health Journey Begins
When David found the Mastering Diabetes coaching program, he had been living with type 2 diabetes for about 10 years. When he was first diagnosed, he didn’t take it too seriously. They put him on medication and he continued to live his life without thinking about the issue or making any changes.

However, after getting a hip replacement and multiple knee surgeries, life was getting harder – and so was maintaining a healthy weight. His diabetes numbers started getting worse, and his doctor increased his Metformin dose from 500mg to 2000mg per day. When he was prescribed glipizide and told that he’d be needing insulin soon, something shifted for David. For the first time, he was truly scared. He started taking his health seriously and looking for support to do that.
Finding His Path Forward
In his research, he stumbled across Mastering Diabetes and was both intrigued and inspired by hearing other people’s stories of improving and in some cases fully reversing their type 2 diabetes. He wanted to become one of those stories.

Six Months to a Whole New Man
David had retired early a few years prior because he’d been in such constant pain and had so little energy that he couldn’t keep up with his work. Like most people, he’d spent a lot of his life looking forward to his years of retirement, but then when the time came, he wasn’t healthy enough to enjoy them.

Now, a few months into following the Mastering Diabetes method, David felt so good and had so much energy that he decided to go back to work! He was going for walks, working out at the gym, and taking up new hobbies and activities to use up his new overflow of energy.

In 6 months, he lost 75 pounds, was able to stop taking all his medications, and bring his A1c into a non-diabetic range (5.5%).

David loves cooking and found it very rewarding to create meals that were both delicious and healthy. He even inspired his family to join him in eating low-fat plant-based whole food meals.
